The Usambara Mountains are situated in the north-east of Tanzania, approximately 110 km long and 64 km in width. Mountains in the range rise as high as 8,000 ft (2,440 m). Usambara Mountains are part of the Eastern Arc Mountains, which stretch from Kenya through Tanzania, and are one of the world’s Biodiversity hotspots.
